Wedding and Reception Playlist Ideas

WEDDING Music
First let me explain. I like traditional long weddings, I'm not Catholic but after attending several Catholic Weddings lately, I like the time they take with the wedding ceremony. My Mom always tells the Priest after the ceremony, "Now that is what getting married should be." And I feel like that too.

Let's slow it down sing, pray and be thankful for this day. The evening will bring plenty of food, dancing and good company.

Secondly I am not sappy. I like people to smile and laugh, if you cry it's going to be because you are laughing so hard. I love traditional music for the ceremony preferably a trumpet and piano. At the reception you can count on a DJ and he will be blasting all the best beats.

So without further ado, here are my personal picks:

Ceremony:
Prelude:
Amazing Grace [Classical arrangement]
Ave Maria [Instrumental]
Flower Duet [Instrumental]
Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring
Bridal Party:
Trumpet Voluntary
Processional:
Cannon in D [Not traditional but it is my favorite]
Interlude:
For the Beauty of the Earth  [My favorite hymn and would be in honor of my grandparents]
Praise God From Whom All Blessing Flow  [This is beautiful on a trumpet]
Recessional:
Messiah Hallelujah Chorus [One of my father's favorite hymns]
Trumpet Tune Purcell
Postlude:
Allegro Trumpet Concerto in B-Flat Major

Ties that Don't Suck

I Love these ties. They would make perfect groomsmen's gifts.

Of course the placeholder text tie is my favorite. The topo map print is cool too. Check this guy out on Etsy: Toybreaker.

Dance It Up!

I absolutely love the idea of a fun "surprise" first dance. I have seen a lot of "surprise" first dances but this one, in my opinion is the best!

Surprise, Baby got Back!
